Automation, Engineering & Robotics

Automation packages, controls engineering and robot integration for presses and converting lines. We design in CAD, build with a 5S lean process, audit PLC code and HMI controls, then install and train your team.

What we do

Automation & engineering services

Automation packages

Automation levels for our presses include manual push-table, single or dual automatic shuttle tables, pinch-roller feed and conveyor feed, plus feed systems, roll stands and rewinders.

Controls engineering

TO CONFIRM: Confirm 'UL 508A certification' option

HMI touchscreen and PLC customization. We audit and refine PLC code and update HMI controls during quality control, and offer upgrades that bring older machines to modern electrical standards.

Robotic cells

TO CONFIRM: Confirm capability and any reference projects

Robotic cells built around your press or converting line, from concept design and CAD layout through installation and training.

Press tending

TO CONFIRM: Confirm

Robots that load, unload and handle parts at the press so operators stay out of the point of operation.

End-of-arm tooling

TO CONFIRM: Confirm in-house design vs partner

Custom end-of-arm tooling for gripping, picking and placing your parts.

FANUC robot integration

TO CONFIRM: Confirm wording; no authorized-integrator claim is made

FANUC robot integration for press tending, palletizing and robotic cells.

Pick & place systems

Pick-and-place and ejection systems that automate stacking and packaging, reduce manual labor and minimize errors.

Installation & training

We install the machine, train your team and provide user manuals, backed by warranty and after-sales parts and service.

Typical applications

Typical projects

  • Pinch roller, conveyor and auto-shuttle feeding for presses
  • Press tending: load, unload and part handling
  • Pick-and-place and stacking after forming
  • HMI and PLC upgrades on existing machines
  • Safety and electrical upgrades to modern standards
  • UL 508A control panels

Common questions

Do you work on machines you didn't build?

Yes. We offer upgrades to existing systems to improve safety, meet modern electrical standards and improve performance.

What is the typical lead time?

Lead times depend on the project. Typically 2–4 weeks for in-stock machinery, 90–120 days for simple builds, and 4–6 months for complex projects that need a full scope of work with CAD drawings for your approval. We confirm a specific timeline once we understand your needs.

Do you provide installation and training?

Yes. Delivery and installation include hands-on training, operating manuals and access to our support team for follow-up questions.

Draft notes (preview only, switch off before go-live)

Robotics capabilities are listed as Joseph specified them (robotic cells, press tending, end-of-arm tooling, FANUC integration for press tending, palletizing and cells). Please confirm each, plus any completed robot projects we can name. No partner/authorized-integrator claim and no FANUC logo are used.

'UL 508A' appears on the series pages as an option; confirm Hammerhead builds UL 508A panels in-house or through a partner.
