JBK3-160VA Machine Tool Control Transformer | 50/60Hz

The JBK3-160VA is an industrial control transformer used to step down machine supply voltage to safe control-circuit voltages for contactors, relays, indicator lamps, and low-voltage work lighting. This is the standard control transformer fitted to swing arm clicker presses and similar industrial machine tools, and is a direct replacement for the JBK3-160VA units installed in Hammerhead Industrial presses.

Primary (Input) Voltage:

• 220/480V — dual-tap primary; accepts either 220V or 480V input, for machines running on 480V three-phase supplies (common in US industrial installations)

Secondary (Output) Voltage:

• 24V — single 24V control output
• 24/30V/220V — multi-tap secondary providing 24V, 30V, and 220V outputs from separate terminal pairs, supporting control circuits, clutch/brake circuits, and 220V auxiliary loads on the same transformer

Application notes

• Match the primary voltage to your incoming machine supply before ordering. Connecting a 220V-only primary to a 480V supply will destroy the transformer.
• Terminal numbering may vary slightly between production batches, but tap voltages are printed directly on each unit's nameplate and terminal blocks.
• Suitable as a replacement part for clicker presses, punching machines, and general machine tool control cabinets using the JBK3 form factor.
